JOINING REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for membership as a Cadet, an applicant must:

  •  be a legal resident of Canada

    • A legal resident of Canada is a Canadian citizen, a landed immigrant, or, the dependant of a person who is lawfully resident in Canada  for the purpose of education or employment;

  • provide proof of provincial health insurance coverage;

  • be at least 12 years of age;

  • not have attained 19 years of age;

  • provide proof of age and identification (Valid Canadian passport; attestation or birth certificate issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial government, or by the Government of Canada; card, visa, or permit issued by the Government of Canada authorizing the person to reside legally in Canada; identification card issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial government, or by the Government of Canada.)

  • not belong to another corps or squadron; and

  • be accepted by the Commanding Officer (CO) of the cadet corps or squadron.

Cadets is open to everyone ages 12-18. We do not discriminate; all youth are openly accepted no matter their background, ethnicity, religion, gender, identity, or social class.
